Haraldur Stefánsson
has been a part of the Icelandic performance arts scene for quite some time. Before he graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2015 he appeared in various music videos, feature films, short films, and was one of the founders of a devising theatre company. He was also a member of the pop band Retro Stefson which was a very popular band in Iceland. They toured all over the world and ended up moving to Berlin after they signed with Vertigo (Universal music) in Germany.
After graduation from RCSSD Haraldur moved back to Iceland where he was offered a position in the ensemble in the Reykjavík City Theatre. He has been with them since then as well as acting in a few Icelandic feature films. Haraldur is also one of the owners of the radio station 101.live which also operates as a production company and a creative hub.
Haraldur Stefansson is currently filming a new Netflix series called Katla which is directed by Baltasar Kormakur, Borkur Sigþórsson and Þóra Hilmarsdottir. Alongside that he is playing Pinocchio at the Reykjavik City Theatre and just finished filming a new Of Monsters and Men music video which was also directed by Þóra Hilmarsdóttir.
